The 98th Annual Conference will be held in-person from Thursday, October 26 to Friday, October 27. One of the requirements to attain or maintain New Jersey Urban & Community Forestry (NJUCF) accreditation is that a minimum of two municipal staff and volunteers must earn a total of at least 8 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) per year, and one municipal employee and one volunteer must have attained Core Training. The Conference will allow attendees to earn NJUCF CEUs and Core Training. To earn 20 points for Sustainable Jersey’s Community Forestry Management Plan & NJUCF Accreditation action, a municipality must have an approved Community Forestry Management Plan and have attained NJUCF Accreditation. Once approved for the Community Forestry Management Plan & NJUCF Accreditation action, a municipality is eligible to earn points for additional Tree & Woodlands management actions for a total of up to 50 points: Tree Hazard Inventory, Tree Maintenance and Tree Planting. The conference will provide information to help support the completion of these actions as well as the Tree Protection Ordinance action.
