New Jersey’s Changing Climate Webinar
Type Webinars
- Mar 28, 2022, 7:00 PM – Mar 28, 2022, 8:00 PMOnline
This free webinar, hosted by the Kingwood Township Environmental Commission, will feature a discussion with Professor David Robinson, NJ State Climatologist, about how over the past decade, New Jersey has experienced its wettest and warmest years in over a century of observations. Extreme events including Sandy, blistering hot summers and most recently, post-tropical cyclone Ida suggest that something is happening to NJ’s climate regime. This virtual presentation will explore the physical dimensions of this issue on both the short and long term. Special emphasis will be on weather and climate impacts on water resources, as they affect precipitation, run-off and infiltration into our groundwater aquifers, particularly in western New Jersey.
