Social Determinants of Health: National and Local Perspectives

This session will be held during the 2022 New Jersey Planning & Redevelopment Conference.  This session will spotlight how communities across the nation and right here in New Jersey are working to examine and address racial and health inequities through planning, policy, community organizing, and culture change. Panelists will present tangible progress towards healthier, more equitable communities, and discuss the challenges left to overcome. This work becomes even more relevant as billions of dollars for infrastructure investment begin flowing into our communities. Senior Researcher, Melanie McDermott, will represent Sustainable Jersey during the session.
